About Irene

Irene Sparre is CEO and Head of Development at Sparre Production ApS, based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
With more than 25 years of experience in animation and content development, Irene has produced and co-produced a wide range of international animated series and feature film projects, working across cultures, disciplines, and production pipelines. Throughout her career, she has contributed to productions for globally recognised brands and franchises, including LEGO® and Lucasfilm, with projects receiving international recognition and nominations for ANNIE, BAFTA, and Emmy Awards.

As a producer and developer, Irene is passionate about creating the conditions for great ideas to thrive. Her approach combines creative ambition with clear communication, collaborative workflows, and a strong belief in the value of bringing the right people together.

In 2008, Irene co-founded Nordic Technical Directors Forum (NTDF), a community dedicated to technical knowledge sharing, collaboration, and networking within the Nordic animation, VFX, and digital production industries.

At the heart of Irene’s work lies a commitment to collaboration, transparency, continuous learning, and meaningful storytelling—bringing together creative and technical talent to develop stories, productions, and partnerships that reach audiences around the world.
